Are You ready for Fall?

For me fall has always seemed like a time of renewal what with back to school and this fall is no exception. Austin is absolutely loving 2nd grade, and I'm so happy about that. 1st grade was hard for him, because he didn't care for his teacher. This year is an entirely different story. He just loves his teacher, he's learning new things every day, so his mind is challenged and he is actually happy to go to school in the morning!

I have some changes of my own! After being solely self-employed for the past 5 1/2 years (I was laid off from my last "real" job after the 9/11 attacks), I finally have outside employment again. This is a major blessing for me and my family, because we will be able to get caught up on so many of the bills that we are behind on. Best of all, I'll still be working from home, so no commute! I had my new hire orientation today, and I think I'm really going to enjoy having a more structured working environment again.

I have a new kit up in the store, and I just love the colors. It's called Falling Leaves, and I hope that y'all like it too!
